Good Friday agreement

Confused with the Good Friday agreement

A suspected former member of the IRA has been sentenced to six years Germany.

Leonard Joseph Hardy was convicted for the foiled bombing of a British army base in Germany17 years ago.

Prosecutors told the court that Hardy had intended to kill as many British soldiers as possible.

Hardy has Irish and British nationality, pleaded guilty to the charge of attempted bombing of a British base.

But there is something about this case that doesn’t add up.
When was he arrested how long was he in police custody, I just can’t see anyone admitting to a crime like that unless under duress.

And another thing dose he not come under the Good Friday agreement. If he was a member of the IRA at the time then as far as I can make it out he should be set free.

I think I would have to disagree with you their. As far as I can make out the IRA are paramilitary, (freedom fighters) not terrorists. They are trying to win back Ireland from invaders. I think I would see Bush more a terrorist then the Irish Republican Army. If everyone were to think like you their would be no peace in Ireland.
