What is Death?
I am looking for answers on Death because it is one thing we have to do we all have to die at some time and it can’t be pushed a side or can it.
I have been trying to understand Death and what it means.
I don’t know if I am afraid of dying or is it just the word Death that makes me nervous.
When I really think about it I get kind of anxious almost a feeling that I can’t wait to find out in other words I am dying to find out what death is.
At times I feel life is a circle of mirrors so no matter what mirror you look in its never ending.
So when you die one of those mirrors loses your image but you life still goes on, but the mirror you left life still continues without you. But your life goes on in the other mirrors.
In words you don’t know if you have died or not, have you ever had a close encounter with death? If so maybe you died you don’t know, are your just living in another mirror.
Another way of looking at the mirrors in the circle is that each mirror is a different way of living, one mirror is bad, one is good, and another decides whether you are a going to be a killer or whatever.
So all you have to do is turn around and choose a mirror and if your not liking the life that is, you turn to another mirror of life.
Maybe that is why we encounter ghosts, when you die you leave one mirror but continue on in another but you want to change your way of life so you pick another mirror but you got back to the old mirror that you died in.
I have 100’s of ways to look at Death but don’t know witch one is the real way to death.
How do you see death are you afraid to die do you believe in another life.
I would love to know your ideas on Death so post a comment but please if you’re going to comment try to keep religion to a minimum. Because I do not think Death is a religious thing.

I too have numerous encounters with death one of the was I got caught by a car bomb and people all around me were injured two died on the spot and I didn’t get a scratch.
I believe in people coming to visit after death just like you , my mother died when I was five and she paid me to visit not long after her death she looked as if she had some kind of rainbow around her.
The second time I was 21 I tried to gas my self I lay on my bed in my apartment and went to sleep and my mother came and woke me but, boy did I have one hell of a headache after.
What an interesting topic. We’re ALL curious whether we admit to it or not. That’s our destiny whether we like it or not, right? And it’s become almost like a faux pas not to talk about it. Hush—don’t say that…Shhh….that’s bad luck….or whatever people try to do to persuade you out of the conversation.
Then you have beliefs/faiths/religions…and each one so different than another. People are so passionate about what they believe to be the ‘truth’. Years and years of debating and fighting till the bloody end over religion has still reached it’s maximum capacity of hate and anguish over ‘who’s right’ and ‘who’s’ wrong’.
I believe I died in my sleep once…or one can say I ‘astral traveled’. Whatever, it was weird, awkward, and the best feeling ever! They can call it a psychotic moment or simply chuck it up to some weird brain activity gone wrong.
Whatever you believe to be true is true. No one can debate it or tell you otherwise. We can keep searching all we want, but the true answer remains to be seen…(Unless you have 100% faith in whatever religion or faith you practice...) And yet the same sentence before holds true!
To deb:
Astral traveling I am into in a big way, well I was I found it so easy to do and I got hooked on it.
Only thing I wasn’t keen on was the deferent levels I stopped on one level and it wasn’t one bit nice to say the lased.
The strange thing with astral traveling is you can go places on commend.
I have all come across an uncle of mine that level was gray he was just standing around and I spoken with him. I asked him what was he doing here and he said waiting just as he said that a white light came and he walked into it. What was stranger about that was my uncle had died about two months prior to that.
I have thought good and strong about the Astral Plane been the place you go when you die, but after that meeting with my uncle kinda knocked that on the head.
Then he may have been going to a different level. When you think about the amount of people that died from the beginning of time where are they now it’s got to be one crowed place? That’s is why I think of mirrors and that Astral plane one thing is for sure it wont be long before we find out.
Hi Deci,
Why does everyone HAVE to die? I am certain that death is just a thought. And we can change our thoughts. We DON"T have to die.
Jesus mission on earth was not to save us from our sins, but to awaken us to the truth of who we really are...eternal Light/Life. He came to dispel the last great illusion...death. He arose from the grave and said "Greater things shall you do."
You don't have to buy into the illusion of death...you ARE Love, you ARE Light, and you ARE Life.
It's just a choice. And in truth, there is no choice. You ARE eternal. Be happy.
God Bless!

I don’t mean to knock your ideas on life and death; I was kimda hoping to keep a way from religion.
I believe in the religion view of death is to scare people into following someone.
I am not saying that their was no God called Christ, he excited alright but in a time when we had no technology and people lived for the stories teller to come to town, one that could do magic tricks witch got out of hand.
Just imagine if John Lennon could perform magic he could have been called because the strength of his following, and it would have got stronger if he could do magic.
What I want to know is what is death do we know that we have died when it happens.
Or how do we know that we are not already dead. Do we feel death? As jayned’Arcy said she was afraid of leaving behind people I love I have thought like that but then I realised that was been selfish, greedy or jealousy. There has to be more to death it just cant end their.
Well, to paraphrase Ali McGraw in the movie 'Love Story', "Death is never having to say you're... ARRRGHHHH...UUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!" Sometimes it helps to laugh in the face of the inevitable.
Its nice to be able to laugh death in the face, I have been at the death bed of so many people in my life but they always cheated me. I have never been there for the actual passing away. The biggest cheater of them all was my father I was with him day in and you along with my brothers and sisters. But I had to leave the room just went down stairs and he died. All that were in the room said he sat up looked around smiled and that was the end.
They were convinced that he waited for me to leave the room because he always said I was a big softie.
That wasn’t the first time something liked that happened to me.
But it don’t look like I am going to get any answers till at day comes.
I am curious to see how others look on death
I see you are a teacher so please forgive the way I write because I never had any schooling.
To understand death assumes you are alive to comprehend it. To know death one must know life. Which one comes before the other is also an unknown and are perhaps one in the same event.
Ponder carefully.... :)

Wow, looks like you got all the typical crazies here! No offense to the crazies! I am Death! Or am I?
Anyways, fooling aside, I have a few good posts on my blog on this subject, unfortunatly I don't feel like diggin em up. However I like your blog, making my judgement based on this sole post.
If you visit my blog perhaps I will give you a very rare answer to death, I may even decide to make a new post. I gurantee it will be vastly different than the common answers you see here, no offense as I do not judge them now except them being common answers.
Perhaps I will link to you if you visit my blog and I come to yours through a link and find it interesting. I found it via BE and don't feel like looking it up as I am very lazy.
after all, my name is reaper, my blog's called the Scythe's Edge v.2 (explosion)
I know that if you are all that curious you might want to learn that the word is spelled DYING mot dieing. Might get you further in your understanding of the great beyond.
To MsFreud:
Thank you for your advice, it just goes to show that you read the topic.
It is nice to get help from people when they spot a mistake.
As is said in two comments up from your comment (so please forgive the way I write because I never had any schooling.)So thanks again mistake sorted.
There's so much about astral traveling that I want to learn about. I find it fascinating, and sometimes, I can't get on that meditative level which enables you to cross over, but sometimes, get a little further, depending on my mindset.
Would love to hear about your experiences. Your experience with your uncle is amazing. I also believe in visiting people through your dreams.
What are your thoughts on that?
Sorry for not answering your comment straight away, but I had to do work in the den so that meant the computer had to be taken out till all work was done.
I first experienced astral travel by a mistake; I was just having one of my strange dreams.
Things like when I go to cross a road I would start floating so I learned to control the floating and turn it into flying.
It wasn’t till after I had told my brother about my dreams did I learn that it was astral travelling.
He introduced me to a family of white witches it was them that explained the ins and outs on how to travel.
One experience I had was where I had been on a train and I saw myself sitting on the seat opposite me I was looking at my self I got a fright because I had not meant to do astral travel it just happened.
I was starting to loose control, I would travel twice or tree times a day.
I would keep going to the same place; it was an old rune of a church with a lovely green lawn cut so tight.
I would fly down into the runes and down a dark tunnel that would take me back into the church before it was a rune it had lots of pillars with figures at the tops of them. And a big circular stain glass window.
From the centre of the church almost ground level I would be taken up to the sealing ant the back of the church, I would be spun around with my pack jammed up against the corner, all this was happening to me I had no control over what was happening.
I spoke too the witches about this and other strange happenings they told me that evil was trying to control my travels and I could end up not coming back.
Ok I can hear you laugh at the idea of me talking to witches.
They are real as you and me as a matter of fact one of the witches is a very well known person he has written a story that was a weekly on English TV.
Anyway back to my story the witches told me that they would put a ring around my bed when they have their gathering. I asked them what was the idea of the circle they said to war of evil.
Another thing I found was our third eye now that is a trip in its self.
No, I definitely believe in witches. There are forces out there like waves of the ocean that will pull you in another direction---if you don't ask for guidance (any God or entity that you pray or believe in) ... I also believe that the whole stigma in the name 'witch' has been misunderstood for many, many years. People think they're all bad. They're not.
Interesting story, Dec!
