New Orleans Mardi Gras
400,000 people have turned out in New Orleans for the climax of the Mardi Gras festival lest then half the number of visitors.
But it’s nice to see it wasn’t a wash out.
Hurricane Katrina struck the US city six months ago, and New Orleans is still in runes. As the city mayor Ray Nagin said the carnival is a chance for the city to lift its spirits.
Some residents say the celebrations are inappropriate as some of the poorer areas of the city are still in ruins
I wonder if hurricane Katrina had hit another part of America other then New Orleans.
Would it sill lie in runes I don’t think Bush is doing enough to help get things back to reality. And I also wonder is it a black white thing for the reason it still lies in runes.
